Kyrgyzstan 

A country in Central Asia. It is located along the Great silk road – an ancient trade route between China and the Mediterranean. The capital is Bishkek, and the major cities are Osh, Karakol, and Naryn.

This is a country with an Oriental flavor, nomads' yurts, noisy bazaars,and archaeological monuments of the great silk road.

The Tien Shan mountains, which surround this caravan route and cover most of the country, are home to snow leopards, lynxes and sheep. In the South of the country is the city of Osh, which has a history of more than a thousand years. It is famous for a huge Bazaar, where merchants who followed the great silk road once stopped.

Nature is one of the main riches of the country. Kyrgyzstan surprises with its mountain rivers with waterfalls, unique mountain lakes and hot springs. Only here you can see the world's only fruit and nut relic forests. Almost the entire territory of the country is occupied by mountains, the most prominent peaks of the Tien Shan and Pamir are located here. Mountaineering and trekking routes of various complexity are popular among tourists. In winter, ski resorts are active.

The cuisine is rich in meat and dairy dishes, among which koumiss is in a special place. Tea is a traditional ceremony, accompanied by local sweets and dried fruits. Handicrafts will be great Souvenirs: felt garments and carpets, jewelry and wood carvings.

1. Issyk-Kul Lake

A very large and deep lake, the largest in the country. Marine climate and excellent beaches have made the Issyk-Kul lake is popular with tourists. The infrastructure on the coast is very well developed and offers various opportunities for recreation. The fauna of the reservoir is diverse, represented by many types of fish. The water is mineralized and has healing properties.

2. Tien-Shan Mountains

A large mountain system, part of it is located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. On the border with China is the most prominent peak – Pobeda, its height is more than 7000 meters. The landscape is represented by deserts, glaciers, mountain rivers and lakes.

3. Sacred mountain Sulaiman-Too

The mountain in the South of Kyrgyzstan is the country's first UNESCO monument. The appearance of Suleiman-Too is unusual –it is an elongated five-domed array of limestone rocks, extending more than a kilometer. On the mountain and its elephants there are several historical sites and buildings belonging to different eras. There is also a Museum of its history.

4. Altyn Arashan Gorge

Nature reserve in the mountains. Untouched forests, mountain rivers with waterfalls, glacial lake-the gorge is very beautiful at any time of the year. It has many hot healing springs.

Mineralized, radon, and hydrogen sulfide water-all sources are different on the same site. You can take thermal baths all year round.

5. Jety Oguz Gorge

A picturesque gorge on the southern Bank of Issyk-Kul. The long wooded valley is famous for its thermal springs (Jety Oguz resort) and picturesque red rocks. Seven bulls ridge and Broken heart rock attract many tourists.

6.Burana tower

An archaeological and architectural complex, including an ancient minaret – the only surviving structure of the ancient settlement. The height of the tower was about 40 meters, now only half is preserved. The building consists of several levels, all of red brick. There is a collection of stone tombstones and statues nearby.

7. Tash-Rabat Caravanserai

A structure built in the XV century on the site of an even older monastery. It is located in a secluded valley, among mountains, near the border with China. Monument of medieval architecture. Later it was used as a caravanserai for merchants traveling along the great silk road.

8. The Mausoleum Of Manas Mausoleum

The oldest monument of the Republic, a unique architectural structure of the XIV century. The building is the tomb of one of the daughters of the local ruler Amir Abuk. The mausoleum is made of brick and terracotta, decorated with carvings and inscriptions.

9. Son-Kul Lake (Sonkel)

A large high-altitude lake, located between the Tien Shan ranges. A popular place for eco-tourism. Part of the coast of the reservoir is part of the state reserve. There are a lot of fish in the lake, and various birds nest on the shore.

10. The Inylchek Glacier

One of the glaciers of the Tien Shan, the largest of all. Its shape resembles a tree, the crown of which forms about 70 other, large and small, glaciers. The area of Inylchek is about 500 km2, and the length of the" language " is almost 50 kilometers.

11. Lenin Peak

Lenin peak (7134 m) is located on part of the zaalaysky ridge, which forms the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Lenin peak is connected to Dzerzhinsky peak (6713 m) on the West,through Krylenko pass (5820 m) in the East - to the crest of Unity peak (6673m). In a spur of the Lenin peak massif in the South, there is a peak with a height of 6852 m. It was named by Marshal Zhukov in 1974.

The glacier of the same name drops from the Northern slopes of Lenin peak. From West to East, its length is 9 km.

Lenin peak is one of the most popular peaks among novice mountaineers-athletes, and all who wants to try to reach, the implementation of the Snow leopard program begins with Lenin peak. It is especially loved by experienced mountaineers and skiers. It is also an advantage that the Base Camp under Lenin peak can be reached by car, and there is an international airport in Osh, so you can fly directly there.

12. Khan-Tengri Peak

Khan-Tengri peak, famous for its extraordinary loveliness , stretches on the Tien Shan on the border of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China. Rare mountains can be compared in beauty with this snow giant. The name of the peak in Mongolian means "Lord of the sky", and the locals called it Kan-Too.

Khan-Tengri is one of the few peaks that every self-respecting climber wants to visit. To reach it, you must overcame serious altitude and have physical health. The mountain is difficult in technical terms - but experienced guides will be able to bypass dangerous areas, with them the ascent is quite safe. 

More than 10 climbing routes have already been completed on Khan-Tengri peak, which can be divided into two main groups: ascents from the North - from the North Inylchek glacier and ascents from the South - from the South Inylchek glacier. Route N 1 "along the marble edge" is the most popular ascent route from the South and starts from the Semyonovsky icehouse. This route is under the constant attention of the rescue service.

13. Pobeda  Peak

Pobeda  peak (7439 m) is one of the most northern  seven - thousandth peak in the world, the highest point of the Tien Shan and Kyrgyzstan. This mountain is one of the five seven-thousandth peaks of the CIS, successful expeditions to which give the right to receive the honorary title "Snow leopard". Many peaks adjacent to Victory peak still remain unconquered and are waiting for their pioneers.

 The base camp of the  peak (4000 m) is located on the southern Inylchek glacier in the heart of the Northern Tien Shan. Its convenient location allows you to enjoy amazing panoramas of Khan Tengri peak and Victory peak.

 This peak already known as for its harsh nature and high difficulty for climbing. Routes of ascent to Pobeda peak are classified as one of the most difficult in mountaineering (difficulty categories: from 5 to 6).

 The reason for this is due to several factors: climatic features, Northern location, sudden gusts of wind, low temperature, altitude, steep slopes, blizzards... The more difficult and dangerous the summit, the more prestigious its conquest - many professional climbers challenge the peak of Victory.

Victory peak is part of the Koshkaal-Too ridge system in Kyrgyzstan, on the border with China. Three peaks stand out on the Northern spur of the range – Pobeda Main peak, Pobeda West peak and Nehru peak. Seven thousandth is only the main One, the other two do not reach the coveted 7,000 just a little.
